The Office of Alumni Relations consistently seeks new ways to offer benefits and privileges to its alumni. As this is a relatively recent offering, please check back to see what new benefits are available. If you have ideas on what kind of offers you would like to see made available, email me.
Free Access to LexisNexis and Westlaw
In the Library, we provide alumni with online access to LexisNexis Academic and a pared down version of Westlaw. The access is only available on site in the JMLS Library—this is the only access they will license us for alumni use.
LexisNexis Academic, if you’re not familiar, is somewhat different from the Lexis used by law students—the search features and content are less extensive, but you can still do the basics such as pull and Shepardize cases, run basic searches, etc. Our alumni Westlaw access is very similar to what students use, it just has less content. All the core content (cases, statutes, Illinois practitioner materials), however, is there. A reference librarian would be happy to help you use these products if you can make it to campus.
Free Wi-Fi
Did you know that you can use free wi-fi as an alum of John Marshall while in the school? All you have to do is stop by the IT Help Desk on the 5th Floor to get your access code to use when you are here.
Club Quarters
The John Marshall Law School has a membership with Club Quarters of Chicago. Our relationship allows alumni and friends of the law school to reserve a room at any of the Club Quarters in the Unites States and in London. Club Quarters is a full service member only hotel. Our membership allows you to reserve a room at a substantially lower rate than other area hotels can offer. Visit their website for more information. Transcripts and Degree Verification
The Registrar's Office has outsourced degree verification and transcript services. To request a transcript, visit http://www.degreechk.com/ or call Farisa Grant at 312-427-2737 Ext 771.

Hall of Distinction
The Hall of Distinction showcases photos of John Marshall alumni that have either ascended to the bench or are elected to public office. If you qualify, please send us a 5x7 black and white photo of yourself. Photos are framed quarterly.
